Devanagari is one of the most widely used scripts in India.
Apart from Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit and Nepali, Devanagari is used for writing more than 36 Indian languages. The name ‘Devnagari’ is considered to be a combination of 2 Sanskrit words deva (Meaning God,celestial, brahman or sometimes king) and nagara (which means city).
