Roundhand Devanagari (Tattoo)

Roundhand Devanagari

Devanagari is one of the most widely used scripts in India
Apart from Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit and Nepali, Devanagari is used for writing more than 36 Indian languages. The name ‘Devnagari’ is considered to be a combination of 2 Sanskrit words deva (Meaning God,celestial, brahman or sometimes king) and nagara (which means city).

This project is a Roundhand Calligraphic version of Devanagari Script, Inspired by "Platt Rogers Spencer", an originator of Spencerian Penmanship, a popular system of cursive handwriting.
Spencerian Script is a beauty of graceful lines, and curves, and characters, which, combined with a proper regard of symmetry, utility and glorify the art of writing.
Devanagari has a strong preference for symmetrical rounded shapes.

"Thus I adapted Spencerian script in Devanagari which gives a Latin vintage touch and perfectly goes with elegant style of writings like weddings, award ceremonies, formal graduations, customized letter-writing, greeting cards, tattoos etc.
